(May 21, 2024) — James Clemente of Killingworth, who majored in Mechanical Engineering, was awarded a Bachelor’s degree at Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s 155th Commencement in Worcester, Massachusetts on May 10, 2024. More than 1,100 undergraduate degrees were awarded during the ceremony.

Vehicle crashes into Worcester home after driver shot, police say

A vehicle crashed into a home in Worcester, Massachusetts, Tuesday night after the driver was shot, according to authorities.

Officers responded to Paine Street just after 9 p.m. for a report of a vehicle that struck a house, Worcester police said.

When officers arrived, they found the driver, only identified as a man, suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

The man was taken to the hospital. His condition wasn't immediately known.
