NASA Astronaut Tom Marshburn to Retire

WASHINGTON, Dec. 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Veteran spacewalker and flight surgeon Tom Marshburn is retiring from NASA after 28 years, including 18 years as an astronaut. His last day with the agency is Saturday, Dec. 31.

As an astronaut, Marshburn spent 337 days in space, traveling to the International Space Station three times on three different spacecraft – the space shuttle, Soyuz, and SpaceX Crew Dragon -- and performed five spacewalks during his three spaceflights.

Danville shooting leads to North Carolina arrest

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - A 20-year-old man has been arrested in North Carolina in connection with a Danville shooting.

Joshua Emmanuel Singletary is charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm.

Danville Police were called June 12 to the scene of a shooting at an apartment complex at 1321 Piney Forest Road. They found a Danville man with gunshot wounds; he was taken to a hospital and is in “stable condition,” according to police.
