Trial Date Set: Omaha Doctor Accused of Killing Sioux Falls Woman

A Nebraska surgeon, accused of killing a Sioux Falls woman in a 2023 Omaha car accident, will stand trial in August.

The head-on collision took place on September 1, 2023 on Dodge Street in Omaha near the 62nd Street intersection.

According to police reports, 61-year-old Dr. Mark Carlson's Mercedes Benz was traveling as fast as 106 miles per hour just seconds before it struck a light pole and then a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Anna Bosma.

She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
