Oil and gas companies continue deal making despite recession concerns

Even as oil investors remain concerned about a potential recession, merger and acquisition deals in the oil and gas production sector are booming.

Dealmaking topped $16 billion in the three month period ending Sept. 30, the best showing so far this year, according to energy data analytics firm Enverus Intelligence Research.
