Ace of Trades: Ty Dierkes always knew he would help others

ZANESVILLE – He grew up in a small town with a dream to be a firefighter. “But unfortunately,” said Ty J. Dierkes, “it never worked out.”

“I did see myself owning a funeral home,” he added. “I just never dreamed it would be in Zanesville. I always thought it would be in the small community I grew up in.”

Now 58, Dierkes grew up in Clarington, Ohio, in Monroe County.
