Fatal crash on State Route 7

A Parkersburg man was killed in an accident Wednesday morning on Ohio 7 near Lower Newport, the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Mark Doyle, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene near milepost 32, the patrol said.

Doyle was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry south on Ohio 7 that went left of center and struck a northbound commercial vehicle driven by Don Gray, 39, of Dennison, Ohio, the patrol said.

UHRICHSVILLE — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers charged a Richland County man with his fifth count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence after he caused two crashes in a stolen truck Saturday.

According to patrol Sgt. Clinton Armstrong, Chad R. Cordwell was involved in two crashes on U.S. Route 250 at 6:09 p.m. Armstrong gave the following account of the incident:
