The puppies were found just before 3 a.m. on Monday in a dog crate in the backyard of a property near the Anthony Wayne Trail and South Avenue, according to police.

Sheriff’s deputy injured in crash with pickup truck: OSHP

Fremont, Ohio — An on-duty deputy with the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office was injured Thursday afternoon in a crash involving a pickup truck, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 4:34 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 213 and Township Road 224 in Green Creek Township, OSHP said in a press release.

23-year-old Trent A. Burtch, of Fremont, was driving a teal 1995 Chevy Silverado southbound on Township Road 224.
