Update: Single Vehicle into a Creek in Pickaway County Fatal Crash

PICKAWAY – Pickaway Township is heading to the scene of a single-vehicle crash into a creek.

According to early reports, the vehicle crashed just north of 6305 SR-361 into Congo creek. The caller says he can see lights and alarms going off on the vehicle in the water.

Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey reports on January 2, 2022 at 9:41 P.M. Pickaway County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to State Route 361 in the area of 6305 Sate Route 361 on an injury accident.

Ohio woman facing destruction of records charges

An Ohio woman was taken to Warren County Jail after allegedly ripping pages out of a book of original documents at the courthouse and trying to leave the office with them.

Shawanda M. Brofford, 38, of Laurelville, Ohio, is charged with fraudulent destruction of records, tampering with records, institutional vandalism, and disorderly conduct.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the Register and Recorder’s office at about 10 a.m. Thursday.
