Fountain Park display embodies the holiday spirit

VAN WERT — Downtown Van Wert came alive Wednesday night for the annual lighting of Fountain Park for the holidays.

Each year the event grows even bigger. This year, it’s estimated around 130 inflatables are on display in the park.

Mayor Kenneth Markward led the crowd in counting down until the switches were flipped on the displays in the park.
