New and returning riders in rodeo at fair

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Riders from across the country showed up at the Belmont County Fair on Wednesday, ready to compete in roping, trick riding and other exploits on horseback during the Rafter M Rodeo.

The third day of fair events saw steady crowds begin to show up after 3 p.m.

Bids opened for proposed work at new Monroe County Senior Center

WOODSFIELD — The Monroe County Board of Commissioners are hoping to move forward with a kitchen renovation project for a portion of the former Safe Auto Insurance Co. building that will be used as the new county senior center.
