Elon baseball player spends summer with Forest City Owls

Elon University baseball player Will Vergantino did not know what to expect when he arrived to play for the Forest City Owls in early June. However, he said he quickly came to love the team and the Forest City, North Carolina, community.

“It definitely has turned out to be positive,” Vergantino said. “It's a tight-knit group of people in this town, and everybody knows each other's names.”
