The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

Joseph Samuel Dominick III, 62, 4003 Harvard St. — simple criminal damage to property less than $1,000; theft from $1,000 but less than $5,000. Bond: $10,000.

Austin Kyle Quibodeaux, 21, 196 Duplechin Road, Ragley — two count direct contempt of court; simple criminal damage to property from $1,000 but less than $50,000.

DPS investigating Austin County crash that killed Bellville woman

BELLVILLE, Texas (KBTX) - The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a crash that claimed the life of a Bellville woman in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 17.

A spokesman for DPS tells KBTX the crash happened around 2:25 a.m. on SH 159 near Bellville.

Troopers say Jill McGinty, 49, of Bellville was driving a 2013 Lincoln MKX west on SH 159 and crossed the center stripe, and went into the eastbound lane of traffic.

The Lincoln struck a 2015 Ford Explorer.
