Paris Police Reports November 6, 2022

Paris Police responded to a burglary of a vehicle in the 700 block of Church St at 6:54 A.M. on November 4, 2022. The victim reported that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle and had stolen a handgun. The victim also reported that someone had stolen their RING doorbell from the garage. The doorbell was later found in the backyard of a neighboring house. The incident is under investigation.

Small plane crash in Detroit: Texas couple killed, teen son survives

DETROIT – A Texas couple was killed Sunday when a single-engine plane crashed in Detroit just a mile from Coleman A. Young International Airport (Detroit City Airport).

Greg Boaz, 54, and Julie Boaz, 48, were traveling from Texas with Greg's 17-year-old son. The teen survived the crash and was able to escape the fiery wreckage. He is at a hospital with his biological mother, who flew into Detroit separately on a commercial flight.

Only the three of them were on the plane. No one on the ground was injured.
