Eye on Texas: Uncertain, Texas

Uncertain is a small hunting and fishing town on Caddo Lake that relies on tourism. Hunters travel from around the country to hunt in Uncertain because it has permanent duck blinds on Caddo Lake. Hunters stay in local bed-and-breakfasts, frequent the one bar in town and hire locals as hunting guides. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is expected to require residents to take down the blinds next year, which could cripple the local way of life.
