TISD approves $1,000 teacher bonuses

TEXARKANA, Texas -- Texarkana Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the use of $600,000 in federal stimulus funding to provide teacher retention bonuses during a regular meeting Wednesday.

The goal is to provide $1,000 retention bonuses for teachers and $600 for all other staff.
