Buddy Holly Center & Silent Wings Museum Take Part in Food Drive

The Buddy Holly Center and Silent Wings Museum have announced that they are participating in the Catholic Charities of Lubbock Food Drive.

Now through Sunday, December 18th, both museums will be accepting food donations to assist the community. Every guest that brings at least 3 food items will receive half-price admission to either museum. Non-perishable food in cans, boxes and bags will be accepted, but donations in glass jars will not.

The City of Lubbock Public Health Department is reporting "higher than usual" levels of activity with respiratory viruses as of late.

According to a press release from the Health Department, there is currently a surge and co-circulation of respiratory viruses other than COVID-19. Reports say that levels of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), flu and cold viruses are higher than they usually would be this time of the year.
