Former Water Valley High School football standout Canon Wiese is saying goodbye to football for a second time. This time, it’s on his own terms.

Ranger's Second Baptist Church, damaged in series of fires, plans to rise again

RANGER — Wendy Rodgers, song leader for Second Baptist Church in Ranger, doesn't believe the church's own hymn has come to a close, even after a fire Thursday ravaged the historic building.

The church, which had dwindled to a congregation of five, had been growing again, in recent weeks hitting attendance of 10-15, she said.
