Summit County continues quest for public input for Rail Trail Corridor design

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah – Since the early 1990’s, the Utah State Parks Division has managed the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail, commonly known as the “Rail Trail” to locals within Summit County, and in recent years the County has shown interest in taking over management of the Rail Trail from the State Parks service.

With this transition in authority, the County has initiated the planning process that looks at the Rail Trail itself and the surrounding lands, and identified this area as the Rail Trail Corridor.
