GPD: Statutory Rape Allegations Date Back To 2006

On April 13th, the Goldsboro Police Department took a report of a sexual assault that occurred over many years. The victim was a juvenile at the time of the alleged offenses. The suspect was known to the victim, and the GPD began an investigation.

At the completion of the investigation, 45-year-old George Lamont Washington of Goldsboro was charged with First Degree Statutory Rape, two counts of Statutory Rape/Offense, and two counts of Statutory Sex Offense in Parental Role. Endicott Police Seek Suspects in Shooting Near Washington Avenue

Another shooting incident is being investigated in the heart of Endicott's business district.

Authorities say gunshots rang out in a municipal parking lot behind M&T Bank at 35 Washington Avenue around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
