Riders add former Lions’ DB Austin Joyner

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed former B.C. Lions defensive back Austin Joyner.

The five-foot-eleven, 200-pound defender last played during the 2021 season, starting five games at strongside linebacker and making 18 tackles. The 25-year-old was a surprise cut ahead of training camp in 2022 and did not play last year. He spent part of the 2020 season with the Alphas of The Spring League.
