Twisp council OKS hike in airport lease rates – Methow Valley News

The Twisp Town Council has approved an 8.8% increase in ground lease rates for hangers at the Twisp Municipal Airport, from $407.25 a year to $443.09 a year, as provided under terms of the town’s agreement with lessees.

The action came at last week’s council meeting. The Twisp Airport Advisory Board (TAAB) has recently objected to any future increases that would dramatically increase the annual rates, citing competition from other airports in the region.
