County’s food banks get funding to help address delivery crisis – Methow Valley News

Okanogan County Community Action Council (OCCAC) has found a way to fill the gap — at least temporarily — for some 8,000 people in the county who rely on food from local food pantries.

Community Action will distribute 650 $35 food cards that can be redeemed at local groceries. The cards were made possible through a $25,000 grant from Save the Children, OCCAC Food and Nutrition Manager Michellee Fox said.
